A Summer Wedding at Shadowbrook

Victoria and John finally had the chance to tie the knot on a beautiful summer day in New Jersey after postponing their original wedding date due to COVID. This couple had a classic wedding with a cream, white, and gold color palette at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury in early July, and their bridal crew was ready to party! Their day was abuzz with cheerful energy, full of the little details that make a wedding day unique, and full of love and excitement for Victoria and John and the new life they are beginning together.

This long-awaited day of celebration was all about the classic details, from Victoria’s gorgeous Jeffrey Campbell shoes, to the elegant yet modern invitation suite. One of my personal favorite memories from the day was seeing Victoria walk down the aisle in her stunning lace wedding dress by Chic Nostalgia to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” played on the strings. It gave me chills! Not to mention how gorgeous the ceremony space is at Shadowbrook. The room is full of natural light and has the most incredible vaulted ceiling, making for beautiful wedding ceremony photos. Classic flower arrangements of white roses and hydrangeas and gold accents throughout made for a elegantly decorated reception space at this newly renovated venue, ensuring that the timeless aesthetic was carried throughout the wedding day from morning to evening.

Italian Wedding Traditions

Some of the most important details to Victoria and John, however, were the the smallest ones. The couple chose to honor their Italian heritage with nods to Italian culture throughout their wedding day, including many Italian songs and dances during the reception, which only added to the fun and festive atmosphere. Victoria changed into her second look, a sleek silky jumpsuit, so she could dance the night away. When the party was over, guests didn’t leave empty-handed. They were able to take home a bottle of limoncello to remember John and Victoria’s beautiful summer wedding day at Shadowbrook.
